The flower market is located opposite to Perumal Koil, it extends to an area of 0.51 acre with 94 shops within, flowers are supplied to pilgrims from here only, it is l=also in the core of the town and center of ABD area of Tiruppur smart city.

As there were no proper facilities for parking, water, drainage (as they were clogged mostly) or washrooms the site needed a upgrade as there were around 5000 people visiting it everyday.

As a part of smart city upgrade the site is to be Retrofitting of historic market center through improved public transport connectivity and efficient circulation management, Efficient vending and increased retail footprint through efficient space management, Integrating proposed metro station to market through overhead pedestrian bridge.

New facilities that will be made available in the upgraded site will be but not limited to market heritage conservation, organizing vehicular and pedestrian movement around the market, provision of loading unloading bays and time managed goods movement, vending zones with plazas, solid waste management, rooftop solar panels, solar lighting/energy efficient lighting.

Investment done for the upgrade is estimated around INR 4.47 Cr.

Total projected revenue expected from the site is projected around INR 32.20 Lacs annually.

Return on investment will be recovered from the annual revenue generated from the site after excluding the cost of maintenance.
