Description

The Solar Power Plant of capacity 4.80 MWp was proposed by the Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation under the Smart City Mission. The solar power plant is set up in Iduvai, Tiruppur. Together with the other Solar Power Plant of 2.00 MWp capacity, this plant will generate 11200 megawatt hours of power per annum.

Tiruppur is an important industrial city and one of the fastest growing cities in the country. There is a wide range of small-scale and large-scale industries in the city. Hence, the power demand is really high. In addition, the water supply improvement scheme and the UGS scheme that were proposed under the smart city mission have increased the requirement for power in the city.

With power consumption increasing exponentially and the need for additional power resources becoming essential, a well-facilitated solar power plant is the need of the hour to fulfil the growing power requirements in the city. Realizing the need, the Tiruppur City Corporation proposed the Solar Power Plant project of capacity 4.80 MWp when the centre included Tiruppur as one of the smart cities in the country.

The solar power plant was successfully set up within the stipulated time to power the different industrial establishments in the city. A land of 23.38 acres that belonged to the Tiruppur revenue district was chosen in Iduvai, a small village situated 12 km away from the city centre. The solar power plant is well designed and built with all the basic facilities and amenities, including compound walls on all sides.

The plant is facilitated to generate 7.990 Mwh per month, eventually reducing the power charges from HT consumption. An amount of Rs. 27.16 crore has been invested in the Solar Power Plant 4.80 MWp project.

நகரத்தின் வெவ்வேறு தொழில்துறை நிறுவனங்களுக்கு சக்தி அளிக்கும் சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையம் குறுகிய காலகட்டத்தில் வெற்றிகரமாக அமைக்கப்பட்டது. திருப்பூர் மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 23.38 ஏக்கர் நிலப்பரப்பின் நிலம் இடுவாயில் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டது. இது நகர மையத்திலிருந்து 12 கி.மீ தூரத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள ஒரு சிறிய கிராமம் ஆகும். சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையம் நன்கு வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டு அனைத்து அடிப்படை வசதிகளுடன் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதில் அனைத்து பக்கங்களிலும் வெளிச்சுவர்கள் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன.

இந்த திட்டத்தில் மாதத்திற்கு 7.990 மெகாவாட் தயாரிக்க வசதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இறுதியில் HT நுகர்வு மூலம் மின் கட்டணங்களை குறைக்கிறது. இந்த சூரிய மின் நிலையம் 4.80 மெகாவாட் திட்டத்தில் ரூ. 27.16 கோடி முதலீடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
