Solar Power Plant 2.00 MWp

Description

The Tiruppur Corporation has erected a Solar Power Plant of capacity 2.00 MWp at Iduvai, under the Smart Cities Mission. This solar power plant, along with the other power plant implemented at the same time, will produce 11,200 megawatt hours of power per year.

Tiruppur is a densely populated city with increasing number of migrant workers with every passing year. Besides, the city is home to myriads of knitting companies and allied units. The Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation consumes an average HT category power of 923.58 Mwh per month. The consumption is projected to increase by 5% year over year, which translates to an expense of Rs. 7.03 crore per year. Hence, there is a high demand for power in the city. A solar power plant is a solution to meet the increasing power needs as well as curb emissions in a sustainable manner.

To meet the high power demands as well as to reduce the expense on power, the Tiruppur City Corporation had proposed a solar power plant of capacity 2.00 MWp with all the required amenities at Iduvai, a village located 12 km from the city of Tiruppur. The proposal was accepted and implemented successfully under the Smart Cities Mission in Tiruppur Smart City.

The Solar Power Plant 2.00 MWp has been created in an area of 23.38 acres and it generates 7.990 Mwh per month, thereby considerably reducing power charges from HT consumption. The solar power plant features well-built compound walls and basic amenities. The project aims at generating power from a natural source – the sun (solar energy). The best part of solar energy is that it does not contaminate water or generate waste, and it’s a key to conserve hydrological resources.

The total investment on the Solar Power Plant 2.00 MWp project amounts to Rs. 11.85 crore.

ஸ்மார்ட் சிட்டிஸ் மிஷனின் கீழ் இடுவாயில் 2.00 மெகாவாட் திறன் கொண்ட சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையத்தை திருப்பூர் மாநகராட்சி அமைத்துள்ளது. இந்த சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையம், அதே நேரத்தில் செயல்படுத்தப்பட்ட மற்றொரு மின் நிலையத்துடன், ஆண்டுக்கு 11,200 மெகாவாட் மணிநேர மின்சாரம் உற்பத்தி செய்யும்.

திருப்பூர் என்பது மக்கள்தொகை அதிகமுள்ள நகரமாகும். நகரத்தின் மக்கள் தொகை புலம்பெயரும் தொழிலாளர்களின் எண்ணிக்கையால் அதிகரித்துக் கொண்டே வருகிறது. தவிர, நகரம் எண்ணற்ற பின்னல் நிறுவனங்கள் மற்றும் அதனுடன் தொடர்புடைய நிறுவனங்களை கொண்டுள்ளது. திருப்பூர் நகர மாநகராட்சி கழகம் மாதத்திற்கு சராசரியாக 923.58 மெகாவாட் என்ற HT வகை சக்தியை பயன்படுத்துகிறது. நுகர்வு ஆண்டுக்கு 5% அதிகரிக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. இது ஆண்டுக்கு ரூ. 7.03 கோடி. எனவே, நகரத்தில் மின்சாரத்திற்கான அதிக தேவை உள்ளது. ஒரு சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையம் அதிகரித்து வரும் மின் தேவைகளைப் பூர்த்தி செய்வதற்கும், உமிழ்வை ஒரு நிலையான முறையில் கட்டுப்படுத்துவதற்கும் ஒரு தீர்வாகும்.

அதிக மின் கோரிக்கைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்வதற்கும், அதிகாரத்திற்கான செலவைக் குறைப்பதற்கும், திருப்பூர் சிட்டி கார்ப்பரேஷன் 2.00 மெகாவாட் திறன் கொண்ட சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையத்தை முன்மொழிந்தது. திருப்பூர் நகரில் இருந்து 12 கி.மீ. தொலைவில் அமைந்துள்ள இடுவாய் என்ற கிராமத்தில் தேவையான அனைத்து வசதிகளுடன் திருப்பூர் ஸ்மார்ட் சிட்டிஸ் மிஷனின் கீழ் இந்த திட்டம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வெற்றிகரமாக செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டது.

சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையம் 2.00 மெகாவாட் 23.38 ஏக்கர் பரப்பளவில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது, மேலும் இது மாதத்திற்கு 7.990 மெகாவாட் உற்பத்தி செய்கிறது. இதன் மூலம் HT நுகர்விலிருந்து மின் கட்டணங்களை கணிசமாகக் குறைக்கிறது. சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையத்தில் நன்கு கட்டப்பட்ட வெளிச்சுவர்கள் மற்றும் அடிப்படை வசதிகள் உள்ளன.

சூரிய ஆற்றல் பல நன்மைகளை கொண்டுள்ளது: பாதுகாப்பானது, மிகவும் சிக்கனமானது, பராமரிப்பு தேவையில்லை. சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையங்களை நிறுவுவது எங்கள் நகரத்தை மிகவும் சிறப்பானதாக்கியுள்ளது என்று நான் நம்புகிறேன்!

சூரியனில் இருந்து ஒரு பெரிய இயற்கை வளத்தை -சோலார் ஆற்றலைப் பயன்படுத்துகிறோம் என்பதில் நான் பெருமிதம் செயல்படுத்தியவர்களுக்கு இது பெருமையே சேர்க்கும். இந்த சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையம் நகரத்தில் மின் பற்றாக்குறை சிக்கல்களை சமாளிக்க உதவும் என்று நான் நம்புகிறேன்.
