Description

The Old Bus Stand located South of Old Noyyal River on Kamaraj Road, accommodating travellers from cities like Udumallai, Pollachi, Coimbatore, Palladam etc., while facing the challenges like narrow exit, congestion, on street parking and a under construction flyover bridge on the Kamaraj Road and at the entrance for the station.

There were some benefits of the location as well like it was located in the city centre abutting Kamaraj Road and was surrounded by commercial areas

Still There was a need for site upgradation as there was daily increase in conflict between traffic and passengers, there was no dedicated pedestrian path and poor maintenance on the site

The Old Bus Stand is planned to undergo a site upgrade with 48 bus parking bays, a multilevel parking with 1055 spaces for vehicles and 70 number of retail shops with safe access by pedestrians, pick up and drop points for private vehicular access and all basic amenities.

The Redeveloped Bus Stand will include various facilities like Public Convenience, cloak room, mother caring room, waiting hall etc.

The Planned Investment for the improvement is around INR 13.61 Cr and planned investment for redevelopment of old bus stand is estimated around INR 22.54 Cr, project revenue components include shopping complex, advertisements, bus entry fee, etc., approx. Rs. 2.5 – 5.0 Crores.

Bus stand is now adequately equipped with the facilities that are necessary for the passengers like shops, entertainment areas and now there is proper walking path for the passengers.

Bus stand is improved and in good condition with proper parking for the busses or the private vehicles of the passengers and also the schedule provided for the buses.

With new platforms and roadways busses are now parked properly making it easier to navigate for the passengers in the terminal

பழைய பேருந்து நிலையம் மறுசீரமைப்பு

காமராஜர் சாலையில் பழைய நொய்யல் ஆற்றின் தெற்கே அமைந்துள்ள பழைய பேருந்து நிலையம், உடுமலை, பொள்ளாச்சி, கோயம்புத்தூர், பல்லடம் போன்ற நகரங்களில் இருந்து வரும் பயணிகளுக்கு இடமளிக்கும் வகையில் காமராஜ் சாலை நுழைவாயிலில் அமைந்துள்ளது.

காமராஜர் சாலையை ஒட்டி நகர மையத்தில் அமைந்திருப்பது மற்றும் வணிகப் பகுதிகளால் சூழப்பட்டிருப்பது என்று இந்த இடத்தில சில நன்மைகள் இருந்தன.

இருப்பினும், பிரத்யேக பாதசாரி பாதை மற்றும் தளத்தில் மோசமான பராமரிப்பு இல்லாததால், போக்குவரத்து துறை மற்றும் பயணிகளுக்கும் இடையே தினசரி மோதல்கள் அதிகரித்து வருகிறது. இதனால் தளத்தை மேம்படுத்த வேண்டிய அவசியம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.

பழைய பேருந்து நிலையத்தில் 48 பேருந்துகள் நிற்க ஏற்ற இடங்கள், பல தளங்களை கொண்ட 1055 வாகனங்கள் நிறுத்துமிடம், மற்றும் பாதசாரிகள் பாதுகாப்பாக அணுகக்கூடிய 70 சில்லறை விற்பனைக் கடைகள், தனியார் வாகனங்கள் மற்றும் அனைத்து அடிப்படை வசதிகளுடன் கூடிய தளம் மேம்படுத்த திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மறுவடிவமைக்கப்பட்ட பேருந்து நிலையத்தில் பொது வசதி, ஆடை அறை, தாய் பராமரிப்பு அறை, காத்திருப்பு கூடம் போன்ற பல்வேறு வசதிகள் இருக்கும்.

மேம்பாட்டிற்கான திட்டமிடப்பட்ட முதலீடு சுமார் ரூ. 13.61 கோடி மற்றும் பழைய பேருந்து நிலையத்தை மறுசீரமைப்பதற்கான திட்டமிடப்பட்ட முதலீடு சுமார் ரூ. 22.54 கோடி என மதிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. திட்ட வருவாய் கூறுகளில் வணிக வளாகம், விளம்பரங்கள், பேருந்து நுழைவு கட்டணம் போன்றவை அடங்கும். சுமார் ரூ. 2.5 - 5.0 கோடி வருவாய் எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

பேருந்து நிலையத்தில் தற்போது பயணிகளுக்குத் தேவையான கடைகள், பொழுதுபோக்கு பகுதிகள் போன்ற வசதிகள் போதுமான அளவில் அமைக்கப்பட்டு, தற்போது பயணிகளுக்கு சரியான நடைபாதை உள்ளது.

பேருந்து நிலையம் மேம்படுத்தப்பட்டு, பேருந்துகள் மற்றும் பயணிகளின் தனியார் வாகனங்களுக்கு முறையான பார்க்கிங் மற்றும் பேருந்துகளுக்கான அட்டவணையுடன் நல்ல நிலையில் உள்ளது.

புதிய நடைமேடைகள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. மேலும் பேருந்துகள் இப்போது சரியாக நிறுத்தப்பட்டு, முனையத்தில் பயணிகளுக்கு எளிதாக செல்ல வழிவகுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
