Description

The MLCP (Multi-Level Car Parking) is a significant infrastructure development near the Old Bus Terminus in Tiruppur, under the Smart City initiative.

Before the MLCP at the Old Bus Stand project took shape, there wasn’t any well-organized parking for the public. Extensive unauthorized parking led to several traffic hazards and inconveniences to the public. The ill-defined parking lot, with all the troubles it caused, paved the way for the idea of constructing a well-planned MLCP near the Old Bus Stand.

The City Corporation started the MLCP project in 2019, following a proper protocol, to facilitate the systemic and organized parking of vehicles in the proximity of the old bus stand. The MLCP project was duly completed and virtually inaugurated by Hon’ble Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru. M. K. Stalin in November 2022.

The multi-level parking is a spacious, four-storey building that provides five floors for parking vehicles, including the ground floor. The structure can accommodate 2050 two-wheelers and 14 cars. There are 20 separate slots for the vehicles of the physically challenged.

The MLCP comes with a wide range of useful features, including a ramp, a lift, a staircase, well-maintained restrooms, automatic boom barriers for token and toll collection, proper lighting and ventilation, power backup, drinking water, CCTV, a fire water tank, emergency exit staircases, rainwater drainage and sewage systems, and eco-friendly solar rooftops.

A total investment of ₹19.02 crore has been made for the MLCP project. A revenue of ₹3 crore per year is expected.

After long travelling hours, as a woman, I always wanted to rush to the restroom. The rest room facility at the Old Bus Stand MLCP has come in as a lifesaver in this regard. Now, I don’t have to wait until I reach home. The water facility is good, and the restrooms are safe and neat as well.

MLCP (மல்டி-லெவல் கார் பார்க்கிங்) என்பது ஸ்மார்ட் நகரங்கள் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் திருப்பூரில் உள்ள பழைய பேருந்து நிலையத்திற்கு அருகில் ஒரு குறிப்பிடத்தக்க உள்கட்டமைப்பு மேம்பாடு ஆகும்.

பழைய பேருந்து நிலையத்தில் MLCP திட்டம் உருவாவதற்கு முன், பொதுமக்களுக்கு வாகன நிறுத்துமிடம் சரியாக அமைக்கப்படவில்லை. அதிக அளவில் அனுமதியின்றி வாகனங்களை நிறுத்துவதால் போக்குவரத்து பாதிப்புகள் மற்றும் பொதுமக்களுக்கு இடையூறுகள் ஏற்பட்டன.

முன்பு இருந்த, தவறாக வரையறுக்கப்பட்ட வாகன நிறுத்துமிடம் ஏற்படுத்திய பல பிரச்சனைகள், பழைய பேருந்து நிலையம் அருகே நன்கு திட்டமிடப்பட்ட MLCP ஒன்றை கட்டுவதற்கான யோசனைக்கு வழி வகுத்தது.

பழைய பேருந்து நிலையத்தின் அருகாமையில் வாகனங்களை முறையாகவும் ஒழுங்காகவும் நிறுத்துவதற்கு வசதியாக, முறையான நெறிமுறையைப் பின்பற்றி, 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு MLCP திட்டத்தை மாநகராட்சி தொடங்கியது. MLCP திட்டம், 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் மாதம் முறையாக முடிக்கப்பட்டு, மாண்புமிகு தமிழக முதல்வர் திரு. எம்.கே.ஸ்டாலினால் துவக்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது.

பல நிலை வாகன நிறுத்துமிடம் (MLCP) ஒரு விசாலமான, நான்கு மாடி கட்டிடமாகும், இது தரை தளம் உட்பட வாகனங்களை நிறுத்த ஐந்து தளங்களை வழங்குகிறது. அடித்தளம் 11,500 சதுர மீட்டர் பரப்பளவைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இந்த அமைப்பில் 2050 இரு சக்கர வாகனங்கள் மற்றும் 14 கார்களை நிறுத்த முடியும். உடல் ஊனமுற்றோர் வாகனங்களுக்கு தனியாக 20 இடங்கள் ஒதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

எனது வாகனத்தை நிறுத்துவதற்கு நான் சீக்கிரம் வர வேண்டியிருந்தது. இப்போது, இது எனக்கு எளிதாக இருக்கிறது. எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக, எனது பைக் நிலையான கண்காணிப்பில் இருக்கும். பாதுகாப்பான இடத்தில் நிறுத்தப்பட்டிருப்பதாக உணர்கிறேன்.

(பங்குதாரர்) ஜவுளி நகரின் பெருமைகளில் ஒன்றாக திருப்பூர் பழைய பேருந்து நிலையத்தில் புதிய MLCP நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த பல நிலை வாகன நிறுத்துமிடம் கட்டுமானத்திற்குப் பிறகு போக்குவரத்து சீராக இருப்பதை என்னால் கண்கூடாக பார்க்க முடிகிறது. மக்கள் தங்கள் வாகனங்களை நிறுத்தும் விதத்தில் சில ஒழுங்குகள் உள்ளது. அனைத்து வசதிகள் மற்றும் வழக்கமான பராமரிப்புடன், நன்கு திட்டமிடப்பட்ட இந்த வாகன நிறுத்துமிடம் பொதுமக்களுக்கு ஒரு வரப்பிரசாதமாக அமையும் என்று நான் நம்புகிறேன்.
